The Valencia area has strong Mediterranean irradiation, but what a system actually produces is decided by your specific roof, not by a regional average. On the inland chalet estates — Paterna, La Cañada, L'Eliana, Bétera — plots are generous and shading usually comes from mature pines, palms and deep porches. In the city and in the townhouse rows of Rocafort or Godella, geometry matters more: small roof planes, stair housings, rooftop AC units and party walls with the neighbour. We check orientation, tilt, usable area and hour-by-hour shading on your roof before proposing anything.
How homes around Valencia use electricity
Unlike the coastal second-home market further south, most homes here are lived in all year. That means a stable load: heavy air conditioning in summer, hot water, increasingly a heat pump for heating and cooling, and a home charger for an electric car. Where there is a pool, the filtration pump is a significant daytime load that lines up almost perfectly with solar production. Continuous year-round occupancy is the profile where a correctly sized system performs best, because a high share of what you generate is consumed on site.

Valencia and its residential belt: zones and property types
Valencia is not a small coastal town: the same metropolitan area contains the compact city, single-family neighbourhoods and a ring of chalet urbanisations. Each of them makes for a different solar project.
- City of Valencia. Flat roofs with stair housings, lift machinery and rooftop AC. On single-family homes and penthouses with exclusive roof rights the project is straightforward; in apartment buildings it needs a community agreement and a way of sharing production between flats.
- Paterna and La Cañada. La Cañada is one of the most established chalet areas around the city: large plots, plenty of pine trees and deep porches. Tree shading is the single biggest factor in sizing here, so it is modelled hour by hour.
- L'Eliana and Bétera. Camp de Túria residential estates with permanently occupied detached homes, frequent pools and, increasingly, an electric car. A high daytime consumption profile, which suits direct self-consumption very well.
- Rocafort and Godella. l'Horta Nord residential towns mixing chalets and townhouses. Townhouse roofs are limited and have party walls, so we prioritise the usable roof plane and match the power to real consumption instead of filling the roof.
- Chalets with pool and climate control. Filtration pump, air conditioning and in some cases a heat pump and pool heating. These are mostly daytime loads: scheduled correctly, they run almost entirely on solar production.
