Does the sea air damage solar panels?

Panels themselves are built for outdoor use, but coastal installations need suitable mounting hardware and fixings, plus periodic cleaning and inspection. We specify accordingly rather than using an inland standard.

I use the villa only in summer — is solar still worth it?

Frequently yes: summer is when you consume most and produce most, and surplus outside the season is credited on your bill. We will tell you when the case is marginal.

Can I monitor the system from abroad?

Yes. Remote monitoring is set up at commissioning, so you can check production and consumption from your phone while the villa is empty.

Is a battery sensible for a second home?

Sometimes, but not automatically. For a house that is empty much of the year, direct self-consumption in summer plus surplus compensation often does most of the work. We pre-wire battery-ready so you can decide later.

How close are you to Els Poblets?
