What happens during the free site visit
Our engineer visits your property to conduct a thorough assessment that typically takes 60–90 minutes. We inspect your roof structure, measure available surface area, check the condition of roof tiles or flat-roof membrane, and assess load-bearing capacity. Using a solar pathfinder and satellite data, we map shading patterns throughout the day and across seasons. We photograph your electrical switchboard to plan the inverter connection and verify that your existing wiring can handle the additional solar capacity. We also review your last 12 months of electricity bills to understand your consumption pattern. All of this data feeds into our engineering software to produce an accurate, customised proposal.
Permits and paperwork: what we handle for you
Solar installations in Spain require several bureaucratic steps that we manage entirely on your behalf. First, we apply for the obra menor at your local Ayuntamiento, which typically takes 2–4 weeks. Simultaneously, we prepare the technical project required by the Dirección General de Industria. After installation, we obtain the certificado de instalación eléctrica (CIE) from an authorised control body, register the installation with Industria, and submit the punto de acceso application to your electricity distributor for grid connection and net metering activation. We then apply for your IBI tax reduction and any available grants. The entire process typically takes 6–10 weeks, during which you don't need to visit any government office.
After installation: monitoring, maintenance, and support
Once your system is commissioned, we connect it to a cloud-based monitoring platform. You receive a login to track real-time production, daily and monthly generation, self-consumption ratio, and grid export from your smartphone or computer. Our technical team also monitors your system remotely and will contact you proactively if we detect any performance anomaly. We recommend an annual visual inspection and cleaning, which we offer as part of our maintenance service. Solar panels in Costa Blanca generally require minimal maintenance due to the dry climate, but occasional cleaning — especially after Saharan dust events — can improve output by 5–10%.
